About
This one hour home study explores targeted rejection as an emerging clinical concept in suicide risk assessment. Participants will examine how rejection can shift from the loss of a relationship to a broader conclusion about the self, including experiences of shame, disconnection, entrapment, and narrowing. The training focuses on recognizing clinically meaningful changes following rejection, asking more focused suicide assessment questions, and using risk formulation to guide appropriate intervention, safety planning, and level of care decisions.
